Killien Huynh: In the ‘Postcard for your enemies’ series, Vietnamese illustrator Killien Huynh adds an ironic and humorous touch to her usually sweet and cute illustrations by creating falsely adorable greeting cards for you to send out to all those friends you love to hate. Genius! 🙂
Gabriel Moreno: We LOVE the creations of Spanish illustrator, graphic designer and artist Gabriel Moreno, who imagines colourful and captivating compositions made with a mixture of watercolour, pen and digital painting. Gabriel Moreno has also worked for many brands and publications, such as Nike, The Wall Street Journal, Rolex, Victoria’s Secret, GQ and Rolling Stone. Awesome work!
Peechaya Burroughs: We love the work of Australian graphic artist and photographer Peechaya Burroughs who has taken an amusing series of photos in which she created real life emojis and other child-like, playful images, some made from food. Fantastic stuff! 🙂
Dulk: We love the amazing creations of Spanish illustrator and street artist Antonio Segura Donat, aka Dulk, who leads us into a colourful and dreamlike universe of fantastical creatures, fairy tales and surreal landscapes. He has shown his work in England, Germany, Holland, France, Italy and Belgium, where he has recently won a major international award. Dulk’s style is an explosive combination of influences, mixed with a bizarre, burlesque and affectionate touch that makes it compact, direct and very honest. He creates characters and stories based on his own dreams and everyday events, mixing fact and fiction, with a touch of pop surrealism and is one of the leading figures of the Spanish illustration scene. Awesome stuff! 🙂
Vivid Sydney 2015: We love the Sydney Opera House‘s contribution to VIVID Sydney 2015 which is a global animation project by Universal Everything, collaborating with over 20 different animation studios worldwide to create a living mural on one of the world’s most iconic buildings. Embracing emerging technologies, Universal Everything’s process always starts from drawings, with techniques seen in this film akin to the early pioneers of animation including Len Lye, Norman McLaren and Walt Disney. Using these timeless techniques mean this film could have existed in 1920, albeit with a 21st century twist – bringing influences of global pop culture, modernist graphics and physics simulations into a playful exploration of this Sydney icon. Awesome work! 🙂

Paris – New York: In 2012, Penguin Books published Vahram Muratyan’s book called ‘Paris versus New York’ and being huge fans of Vahram’s work, Nord Collective always wanted to create an animated version of the book. However, in order to make this tribute, they couldn’t source original illustrations directly, so they used Vahram’s ideas as the base, completely reworking the design and illustrations while trying to keep visual similarity to the original. Nord Collective animated all scenes and asked their dear friend The Cosmic Setter to write and perform original music and sound design for the ‘Paris – New York’ project. It’s fantastic – LOVE!

Conrado Salinas: While flicking through our daily feeds, we stumbled across the amazing work of Los Angeles artist Conrado Salinas who is a freelance illustrator with a background in digital art and graphic design. Conrado Salinas has an impressive digital illustration portfolio. He was featured in Versus Magazine’s 2014 Summer Issue and had his ‘Bone Collector’ piece printed and featured at Adobe MAX 2014.
