Ashly Stohl captures some of the darker moments of childhood

Ashly Stohl: In her Charth Vader series, photographer Ashly Stohl captures her young son Charlie wearing a Darth Vader mask in order to illustrate some of the darkest moments of childhood. Behind this light-hearted reference to Star Wars and pop culture, Ashly Stohl tries to remind us that for her son suffering from ocular albinism, like for many other children, childhood is not only made of joyful moments. Awesome work 🙂

Squatty Potty: A magical unicorn squeezes out rainbow ice cream from its bum while an uppity prince explains proper pooping technique in a new commercial for the Squatty Potty, a bathroom stool designed to help promote better colon health. While I suppose this overall is a good thing, there’s so many things about the Squatty Potty ad that are just TMI wrong…we still love it though lol! Happy Friday 🙂

PC Master Race 90s Rap is an upbeat 90s style take on the joys of PC gaming

PC Master Race 90s Rap: We love ‘PC Master Race 90s Rap’ which is an upbeat 1990s-style rap, reminiscent of the opening credits for ‘The Fresh Prince of Bel Air‘, by The Warp Zone about the joys of PC gaming and why it’s a better option than using a console. Much like the PC/console debate does online, the song escalates and takes a slightly dark turn. Very funny stuff! 🙂

Pepsi goes Back to the Future

Pepsi to release its futuristic bottle as a limited edition

Pepsi: To celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Back to the Future trilogy, Pepsi will release its futuristic bottle, seen in Back to the Future II, as a limited edition with 6,500 bottles of Pepsi Perfect. These collector bottles will of course be offered for sale on Amazon from 21 October 2015 for the price of $20. This is way too cool! 🙂

The X-Files promo shows Mulder believes the truth is still out there

The X-Files: We’re so excited about the X-Files upcoming event series which will encompass a mixture of stand-alone episodes and those that further the original show’s seminal mythology. From the promo and trailer below, it seems the always defiant Fox Mulder refuses to give up his fight for the truth, no matter what Scully or anyone else has to say. The first episode premieres in the US as a two-night event beginning Sunday, 24 January 2016. Bring it on! 🙂

Daft Punk Unchained: BBC Worldwide France have release the first official trailer for Daft Punk Unchained, a new documentary about the rise of the influential French electronic music duo, Daft Punk. Directed by Hervé Martin Delpierre, this revealing documentary, which has no official premiere date as of yet, features interviews with iconic artists such as Kanye West, Pharrell Williams, Nile Rogers, Giorgio Moroder, and many more. Looking forward to this one 🙂

Selfie Spoon: So US breakfast brand Cinnamon Toast Crunch has introduced the ‘Selfie Spoon’, a selfie stick with a spoon handle for taking selfies while eating cereal…WTF?! It seems the manufacturer, General Mills, is also offering a limited number of the devices for free each day, with the purchaser only having to pay shipping costs – yippee! Because we’ve always wanted to see photos of people with crusty sleep in their eyes and breakfast food stuff caught in their teeth first thing in the morning. We weep for the future…
