Selfie Spoon – Society hits a new low

Selfie Spoon helps you take selfies during breakfast...WTF?!

Selfie Spoon: So US breakfast brand Cinnamon Toast Crunch has introduced the ‘Selfie Spoon’, a selfie stick with a spoon handle for taking selfies while eating cereal…WTF?! It seems the manufacturer, General Mills, is also offering a limited number of the devices for free each day, with the purchaser only having to pay shipping costs – yippee! Because we’ve always wanted to see photos of people with crusty sleep in their eyes and breakfast food stuff caught in their teeth first thing in the morning. We weep for the future…

Matthew Rolston – Talking Heads

Matthew Rolston creates portraits of old ventriloquist dummies

Matthew Rolston: Published in the book Talking Heads: The Vent Haven Portraits, American photographer Matthew Rolston has captured portraits of old ventriloquist dummies, now unused and abandoned, exhibited at the Vent Haven Museum in Kentucky. Through his photographs, Matthew Rolston seems to revive these objects, which were once the centre of performances and shows, and also the popular beliefs, fears and phobias that often accompany such puppets made of wood. We really love these images although they are somewhat unsettling – Happy Friday! 🙂

Socality Barbie – Instagram’s Newest Hipster

Socality Barbie documents the life of a hipster Barbie

Socality Barbie: Socality Barbie is the Instagram account of a hipster Barbie, who is now at more than 699,000 followers. An unexpected and ironic success, Socality Barbie was created by a professional photographer, based in Oregon, who wanted above all to parody the similarity of all Instagram accounts. Very funny and clever – Barbie never looked so random 😉

Mothmeister – Wounderland

Mothmeister create images caught between nightmares and taxidermy

Mothmeister: We’re intrigued by the latest creations from artists Mothmeister who create somewhat frightening photographs that are caught between our worst nightmares and old-world taxidermy and feature objects from their vast cabinet of curiosities. Their Wounderland series leads us into a strange and disturbing world which is inhabited by scary creatures and deformed animals. Creepy as yet we love their haunting impact.

KFC wants a Selfie of you…eating greasy chicken

KFC's chicken bucket doubles as an instant photo printer - WTF?!

KFC: So, to celebrate 60 years in Canada, KFC have created a new chicken bucket that doubles as an instant photo printer. The ‘Memories Bucket’ is a new high-tech, limited-edition big bucket that helps you print your photo on the go as you’re creating them. W. T. F.?! While specs of this device are limited, the functionality seems simple enough – it’s a standard instant photo printer that’s bucket shaped. First, snap a photo on your phone and once the printer is on, select your pic and send it to the printer via Bluetooth. KFC says on its Facebook page that it will be releasing more details about this bucket photo printer soon, and will be giving a few of them away as well. No word yet on whether it will be commercially available to anyone or in any other country (Aussie summer cricket gold!). Oh dear…this is bound to end in disaster. Who on earth wants a pic of someone with potato n’ gravy all over their face? Actually, second thoughts…this could be quite useful. Dirty birdy lol 😉
