A couple of absolutely clumsy baby goats named Lentil and Wilma humorously attempt to jump atop a green velvet sofa. They sum up Mondays perfectly…
We love the creations of Telmo Miel, the street art duo of Telmo Pieper and Miel Krutzmann, whose colourful and poetic work mixes images of children and animals into surreal urban compositions. Awesome stuff! 🙂
A great short film directed by Géraldine Gaston, Alexis Magaud, Flora Andrivon, Maël Berreur and Soline Bejuy, students from Supinfocom Arles/MOPA school of CG animation, Chaud Lapin is a strangely captivating short film that reveals the romantic lives of three animals – a warthog, a snake, and a rabbit. Fantastic work! 🙂
We love these awesome animal portraits by German photographer Elke Vogelsang who captures the different and individual personalities of dogs with some very expressive photographs. Dogs rule! 🙂
Tiny Hamster: The interweb’s favourite Tiny Hamster got into the Halloween mood by dressing up as the infamous ‘Subway Pizza Rat‘ before heading into a haunted house with some of his besties including a robot-inspired guinea pig and a blonde wig wearing bunny. In the spirit of Halloween, Tiny Hamster has also been busy writing his very own book documenting what happened when he accidentally ate some oozy green stuff entitled Tiny Hamster Is a Monster. Is there anything Tiny Hamster can’t do?!
Mothmeister: We’re intrigued by the latest creations from artists Mothmeister who create somewhat frightening photographs that are caught between our worst nightmares and old-world taxidermy and feature objects from their vast cabinet of curiosities. Their Wounderland series leads us into a strange and disturbing world which is inhabited by scary creatures and deformed animals. Creepy as yet we love their haunting impact.
Gabriel Moreno: We LOVE the creations of Spanish illustrator, graphic designer and artist Gabriel Moreno, who imagines colourful and captivating compositions made with a mixture of watercolour, pen and digital painting. Gabriel Moreno has also worked for many brands and publications, such as Nike, The Wall Street Journal, Rolex, Victoria’s Secret, GQ and Rolling Stone. Awesome work!
Jedi Chipmunks: No better way to kick-start our Monday then with an epic chipmunk lightsaber battle. We assume one is a Jedi and the other has clearly gone to the dark side. May the force be with you, brave Jedi chipmunks! 🙂
Catstacam: From our ‘WTF, is this really happening?’ file, comes the newest thing in feline chic – ‘Catstacam’. ‘Catstacam’ is a new kind of wearable camera for cats, which can automatically upload photographs from the secret life of your cat to a dedicated Instagram account. This interesting gadget designed by Whiskas in Australia will take pictures and happily post them on Instagram as soon as it is within range of your wi-fi network. Whiskas explained the ‘Catstacam’ on their Facebook page “Have you ever wondered what your cat was trying to tell you with some of their actions? WHISKAS® CATSTACAM™ is our brand new program designed to help cat lovers better understand cats by giving a glimpse into their world. The custom WHISKAS CATSTACAM devices let selected cats take photos and post them directly to their own Instagram accounts. At the moment we only have a limited number of devices available (that’s why they’re not available for purchase) so to share our cat insights we have chosen key cat lovers that will help us spread the word – and show-off their furry friends’ intriguing behaviour. To follow them, and see what adventures they get up to, simply search #Catstacam on Instagram. But we don’t just want to show you what cats get up to, we want to provide a deeper understanding of common cat behaviour. So if you see anything you’re curious about, or the behaviour shown is similar to your cat’s, just ask a question and hashtag #AskWhiskas and our cat behavioural expert will respond, telling you what it means. WHISKAS CATSTACAM is the social way to help you better understand cats.” Hmmm look, while we’re not really cat people, more power to those who really want to know what their cat does when left to their own devices and we applaud Whiskas for coming up with such a unique marketing idea. Clearly, it’s catching on or we wouldn’t be talking about it. Enjoy feline lovers…meow!
