Apple’s New Gadgets

Apple introduces new iPhone 6s, iPad Pro, Apple Pencil & Apple TV

Apple: During a live event in San Francisco today, Apple introduced a number of new and enhanced products, amongst them the new iPhone 6s with 3D Touch technology and an upgraded camera.

Also announced was the brand new iPad Pro with improved performance 12.9 inch retina display, a full-size Smart Keyboard and the Apple Pencil, both available from November 2015.

But the most exciting development has to be the new attention given to the long-neglected Apple TV with a brand new tvOS that will incorporate Siri voice commands, access to the App Store, a cleaner flat design and an updated remote control that uses swipe technology. The updated version will be available at the end of October 2015.

Hipsta: We can’t get enough of the new re-worked track ‘Hipsta’ by Timmy Trumpet & Chardy but now featuring comedy duo the Bondi Hipsters, which lampoons the everyday life of the modern Australian hipster, a breed of dickbag all Aussies love to hate. LOL, it’s very clever and nails it on so many different levels – we’ve been laughing since it first dropped. Definitely worth a watch – check it out below 🙂

McWhopper – This is the best thing ever!

McWhopper is Burger King's mashup proposal to Macca's

McWhopper: Although Macca’s seem to have rejected the idea, Burger King were putting it out there by sending a collaboration proposal to McDonald’s to create the McWhopper, a mashup between the Whopper and the Big Mac, the two most iconic burgers in the history of crap food. Although the McWhopper from these giants of fast food was to be sold only on 21st September 2015 during the International Day of Peace, Macca’s have poo poo’d the concept which is a shame – that baby would of been tasty! Check out the concept vid below. Love it! 🙂

Dismaland Bemusement Park: So on the back of its opening, Banksy has released the official trailer for his Dismaland Bemusement Park art installation which highlights several pieces Banksy curated from more than fifty artists around the world, collectively providing a dark and decayed view of theme parks and commercial recreation. Ash vs Evil Dead is the new horror sitcom sequel to 'Evil Dead'

Ash vs Evil Dead: STARZ has released an awesome new trailer for Ash vs Evil Dead, a new original series and horror sitcom sequel to the Evil Dead movies. The trailer features Ash Williams (Bruce Campbell) taking on evil with his trusty boomstick and various other weapons. Ash vs Evil Dead is set to premiere on 31st October, 2015. Check it out below 🙂

David Lynch – ‘The Alphabet’

David Lynch does the ABCs in this bizarre short film

David Lynch: In 1968, director David Lynch created the short film ‘The Alphabet’, a bizarre and slightly terrifying recitation of the ABCs that seems to invoke and reflect an extreme fear of learning. This work is very interesting and helps reiterate David Lynch as a true artist in every sense. Definitely worth a watch.

The Muppets: We have been cracking up all morning over this awesome video by AnimalRobot where Fozzie Bear and Kermit the Frog sing ‘Express Yourself’ by NWA. The video was created using footage from The Muppet Movie and the web series Fozzie’s Bear-ly Funny Fridays. LOVE LOVE LOVE it and very clever indeed! 🙂

Balls: Inspired by the athleticism and sports-loving nature of Australians, digital artist Mimi Leung started thinking about the huge variety of balls-related games out there, made a list of types of balls and set that list to music. She then took this idea and developed an animated video, hand drawn, frame by frame, for the song which focuses on speed, fluidity and…well…balls! This is awesome, enjoy! 🙂
