Video editor and musician Jeff Dutton a.k.a. “Bonecage“ recently teamed up with Mr. Gee to create ‘Rick It!’ a brilliant musical parody tribute to Rick Grimes of The Walking Dead that is set to a Rick-themed mix of the 1980 hit ‘Whip It‘ by Devo. LOVE it! 🙂
Wiener-Dog is an interesting new film by writer/director Todd Solondz (Storytelling, Welcome to the Dollhouse, Palindromes) that tells four different stories all connected by one common character – a small, cute dachshund puppy. Starring Danny DeVito, Greta Gerwig, Julie Delpy, and Ellen Burstyn, Wiener-Dog will be released in cinemas from the 24th June 2016. Looking forward to this one 🙂

A great short film directed by Géraldine Gaston, Alexis Magaud, Flora Andrivon, Maël Berreur and Soline Bejuy, students from Supinfocom Arles/MOPA school of CG animation, Chaud Lapin is a strangely captivating short film that reveals the romantic lives of three animals – a warthog, a snake, and a rabbit. Fantastic work! 🙂

We love these awesome photos of the iconic 1950s Greek cafés & milk bars of Australia that brought ‘exotic’ food and art deco glamour to our suburbs and country towns. Since the 1930s, Greek families had opened cafés & milk bars across Australia at all hours, seven days a week with some having American names like The Niagara, Astoria and The Paragon and decorated in glamorous art deco style while serving coffee, milkshakes, fancy sundaes, steak and eggs with chips. For hundreds of images and stories, check out the website for the new book Greek Cafés & Milk Bars of Australia, which documentary photographer Effy Alexakis and historian Leonard Janiszewski have spent 30 years researching, and as it turns out, were uniquely Australian. Just another reason to love this country! 🙂
Directed by Seth Ickerman, TURBO KILLER by Carpenter Brut is an awesome synthwave track that references 80s electronic music and culture. The music video, which you can watch below, is basically the coolest grindhouse sci-fi/horror car chase, enhanced by incredibly high production values and an amazing sound. Love it! 🙂
